July 1775 - April 1776Washington’s HeadquartersDuring the Siege of Boston, Washington held quarters here at the Longfellow House. Today it is preserved in Cambridge, Mass. as it once was. Henry W. Longfellow was a poet and helped create an American identity with his poem, "Paul Revere's Ride". He also wrote The Song of Hiawatha.
